IMPORTANT NOTE

Me Delage will explore the following topics:
- What is Intellectual Property? (Copyright, Trademarks, Patents, Trade secrets)
- Chain of Title issues (IP ownership issues with founders; IP ownership issues with consultants, subcontractors, employees and interns)
- Licensing vs Assignments
- Governmental grant with respect to intellectual property
- The importance of patents for start ups
Students in the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science, lawyers, and the general public are invited to attend.
To participating lawyers: the eligibility of this training has been submitted to the Barreau du Québec for the purposes of mandatory continuing education, for a period of one and a half (1.5) hours.
