Jurist-in-Residence at Concordia University, Morton S. Minc cordially invites you to an evening in conversation with Jean-Nicolas Delage, lawyer specialized in intellectual property strategies for rapidly growing technological firms

IMPORTANT NOTE

This conference will be presented in hybrid mode: you can either attend In-Person or Virtually (Zoom). You can make your pick during registration.

Me Delage will explore the following topics:

  • What is Intellectual Property? (Copyright, Trademarks, Patents, Trade secrets)
  • Chain of Title issues (IP ownership issues with founders; IP ownership issues with consultants, subcontractors, employees and interns)
  • Licensing vs Assignments
  • Governmental grant with respect to intellectual property
  • The importance of patents for start ups

Students in the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science, lawyers, and the general public are invited to attend.

To participating lawyers: the eligibility of this training has been submitted to the Barreau du Québec for the purposes of mandatory continuing education, for a period of one and a half (1.5) hours.
