A Masterclass & Meet and Greet the Public Servant-in-Residence: Dr. Joe Faragone
Title: The Federal Expenditure Management System
This seminar will be delivered by Dr. Joe Faragone the Department of Political Science Public Servant-in-Residence.  This event offers an opportunity to advance your understanding on how federal policy and programs focus on results, provide value for taxpayers’ money and are aligned with the government’s priorities and responsibilities.
The seminar will blend theory with a practitioner’s perspective, followed by Qs & As and a meet and greet with Joe.

Joe Faragone, the Department of Political Science’s Public Administration Scholar-In-Residence, has worked in the federal public service for many years. He brings a rich and diverse set of experience and knowledge obtained by having worked in several entities:

  • Canadian International Development Agency
  • Correctional Service Canada
  • Defence Research & Development Canada
  • Department of National Defence
  • National Research Council
  • Natural Resources Canada
  • Public Health Agency of Canada.

He is currently working at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat. His areas of work have spanned the full public policy and public administration spectrum - policy, operations/program, and corporate services; but always with a focus on excellence and stewardship. Over the course of his career, he has been the recipient of awards and recognition at the ministerial and deputy minister levels.
