Felix Chu is a public servant who has served in both the provincial and federal governments. He started at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat through Concordia's MPPPA program in 2012, supporting cabinet deliberations and decision-making for Governor-in-Council submissions from various departments. He has also worked in the Ontario public service conducting social and economic policy analysis in various Ministries such as Immigration, Municipal Affairs and Housing, Children and Community Services, and Health during the COVID-19
pandemic. He now is a Senior Advisor in the federal government at Global Affairs
Canada, leading and supporting stakeholder engagements with civil society
organizations and Canadian embassies as the department transforms its grants
and contributions process. At Concordia, he took a great interest in feminist policy analysis, and has carried that in all his roles, including leading the development of Ontario's first ever gender and diversity analysis framework. He is also involved in local community engagements such as the Scarborough Studies collective to engage more racialized and economically precarious youth to speak out on policy issues.

Hosted by the Working Group on Feminist Governance in Times of Crisis, the lecture will draw from Felix’s work experiences to introduce audience members to GBA+ analysis in Canada, including both theory and practical applications.
