Concordia University’s first cohort of Public Scholars

What happens when you ask 10 PhD candidates to play truth or consequences? You get a birds-eye view of what’s in store for us in the coming years.

On March 20, join Concordia University’s first cohort of Public Scholars — Gonzalo Quintana Zunino, Nadia Naffi, William Robinson, Leanne Keddie, Lucas Hof, Erin O’Loughlin, Alexander McClelland, Desirée de Jesus, Rocco Portaro, and Lisa Ndejuru — for an evening of short talks – thought-provoking reflection, investigation and discovery.

From the latest developments in machine processing and medical technologies to the struggle to design a fairer and more inclusive justice system, better integrate a growing refugee population or break the code of female sexuality…

These thinkers and researchers are at the leading edge, pushing the boundaries of their fields to create the future we will live in. Each one will have five minutes to tell you how.

The talks will be followed by a reception where you’ll be invited to continue the conversation with our presenters.
