14th Annual St. Patrick's Society Lecture by Dr. Mark McGowan, University of Toronto

Dr. Mark McGowan is a Professor in the Department of History, University of Toronto.  He is a specialist in the religious, social, and communications history of Canada and Ireland.  A recipient of four University Teaching Awards, Dr. McGowan served as Principal of St. Michael’s College from 2002 to 2011.  The author of numerous books and articles on the Irish and the Catholic Church in Canada, he is currently working on a project about Irish Famine orphans in Canada (1847-1851).
