As part of the Classical Association of Canada Lecture Tour 2016, the department of Classics, Modern Languages and Linguistics presents guest lecturer Professor Toph Marshall (UBC).
This paper looks at how men represent wet-nursing and breastfeeding in literary contexts, focusing on four Greek plays: Aeschylus’ Libation Bearers, Euripides’ Hypsipyle, Menander’s The Arbitration, and Menander’s Woman of Samos.
