Access requests

Psychology students and other authorized research personnel may obtain a key or access card for designated spaces in the SP and PY buildings.

  • You must obtain prior approval from your supervisor and complete the associated safety training(s) before submitting your request.
  • Once you have your key(s) or access card, they become your responsibility. You cannot lend them to anyone, and as soon as your work in the lab ends, you must return them to security in room SP 170 or SP 144, and notify your supervisor.
  • If a key or access card is lost, stolen or damaged, it must be reported ASAP to Campus Safety and Prevention Services by calling 514-848-3717 (option 2) or by emailing security@concordia.ca. In the case of a key, you must also fill out the Lost/Stolen Key Form. There will be a charge for replacing a key or card.
  • If you require more information or assistance, please contact psychology.keys@concordia.ca.

Key requests

  • To request a key, fill out and submit the Loyola Key Request Form.
  • If you need key access to more than one room, please indicate in section 12 [Additional Notes] of the form that you would like to combine access on a single key.
  • If your lab is part of the CSBN, select Clara-Maria Kpomegbe as authorizer in section 16 of the form and enter email address csbn@concordia.ca in section 17.
  • Otherwise (not CSBN), select Casey Rae Nunn as authorizer in section 16 and enter email address psychology.keys@concordia.ca in section 17.
  • After you submit your key request form, you will receive an email confirming your request. Your request is then automatically sent to your selected authorizer for approval, and then to Loyola Key Control for processing.
  • When your key is ready, you will receive an email indicating where you should pick it up. Please bring your Concordia ID if you have one, or else a government-issued photo ID (driver's license, health card, or passport).

Access card requests

  • The request for a new or modified access card is initiated by your supervisor.
  • When you complete the required safety training, you will receive a confirmation email from psychology.safety@concordia.ca detailing any further steps or additional training required before you obtain your card.
  • A subsequent email will include instructions for picking up your card.
