Undergraduate programs
Choose your pathway of concentration in our three BSc Chemistry and Biochemistry programs and enjoy collaborating with approachable faculty and technical staff in a strong learning community.
Choose your concentration option
Our BSc programs offer different options of concentration including Major, Minor, Specialization and Honours.
Major & Minor degrees
- The Major BSc comprises 45 credits of courses in the program's curriculum.
- The Minor degree requires 24 credits of courses chosen from the Department's offerings that complement your other interest areas.
Honours & Specialization options
- Typically, Canadian universities required an Honours degree to qualify for admission to a graduate program.
- In Quebec both the Specialization and the Honours program are accepted as entrance requirements.
- The key difference between the two program options is that the Honours program requires higher performance level and the Research Project and Thesis (CHEM 450) with an oral defence.
Co-op option
Programs with the Co-op option follow the same academic requirements as the honours or specialization streams, while students alternate study terms with paid work placements in government or industrial laboratories.
