Former subcommittees
In the original structure of the Task Force, there were eight subcommittees, two of which have since been folded. They are Anti-racist Education and Resources for the Campus Community and Campus Security and Relations with External Security Forces.
It was decided that the elements of the Anti-Racist Education and Resources for the Campus Community subcommittee would be woven into the considerations of each subcommittee. Annick Maugile Flavien from the Black Perspectives Office, who is also a member of the Task Force Steering Committee, will oversee the overarching integration of anti-racist education into the final report.
Insofar as the Campus Security and Relations with External Security Forces subcommittee is concerned, the work of the subcommittee was expanded to a broader theme of ‘safety on campus’ rather than a sole focus on campus security. Safety on campus will be one of the main overarching foci of the Task Force Steering Committee.
