The John Molson School MBA has once again been recognized among Canada’s leading graduate business programs, ranking second overall in Canada in the Bloomberg Businessweek 2026–2027 rankings. The program earned the number one spot for compensation after graduation and ranked second for entrepreneurship.

“These results reflect the strength of the John Molson MBA and, most importantly, the value it creates for our graduates,” says Anne-Marie Croteau, dean of the John Molson School of Business.

“They also reflect the collective commitment of our faculty, staff, students, and alumni to providing an MBA experience that connects academic learning with the realities of business and society.”

Strong outcomes for graduates

The number one ranking for compensation after graduation is particularly significant given that compensation is Bloomberg Businessweek’s most heavily weighted category. The ranking draws on survey responses from graduating MBA students, recent alumni and companies that recruit MBAs, covering areas including jobs, salaries, classroom learning and alumni networks.

“Our number one ranking for compensation is particularly meaningful because it reflects the strong career outcomes of our graduates and reinforces the value proposition of a John Molson MBA,” Croteau adds.

An entrepreneurial, experiential approach to learning

The strong showing for entrepreneurship reflects an entrepreneurial spirit that is closely connected to how students learn in the John Molson MBA, continues Croteau. She adds that experiential learning is a hallmark of the program, giving students opportunities to apply their knowledge to real business and community challenges, engage directly with practitioners and develop the judgment and problem-solving abilities they will take into their careers.

That culture is particularly visible at the internationally renowned John Molson MBA International Case Competition, held every January. Business leaders devote their time and expertise to judging teams from John Molson and leading business schools from around the world, creating a direct connection between MBA learning and business practice.

The John Molson Case Publications Initiative, a partnership with Ivey Publishing, further supports this case-based learning culture through the development of business case studies, including cases in entrepreneurship.

Thes results follow another recent recognition for the program, with The Princeton Review naming the John Molson MBA among its Best On-Campus MBA programs for 2027.

“These rankings continue to position the John Molson MBA among Canada’s leading programs,” says Croteau.
