Civil aviation is a rapidly growing industry and with that growth comes the demand for management-level professionals who are trained and ready to take on the new challenges that will inevitably arise. The Management Certificate in Civil Aviation (MCCA) covers three main topics to help leaders prepare and enhance their leadership skills in civil aviation.
Offered in partnership with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the objective of the MCCA is to enhance the aviation management competencies of qualified personnel in the civil aviation community.
The programme is taught at a level equivalent to that of a graduate business programme and consists of three independent certificates: Strategic Management, Human Resources Management, and Business Planning and Decision-Making. These Certificates will provide current and future leaders in civil aviation with the tools needed to bring their organizations up to speed on critical industry issues.
Each Certificate is composed of nine (9) modules spread over eight (8) weeks of online learning, online self-paced — asynchronous (approximately 15 hours on LMS) and virtual classroom — synchronous (8 half-days sessions online with Zoom).
All Certificates provide a well-rounded view of the theme under the instruction of a variety of experts and professionals who represent unique perspectives. Successful completion of all three certificates will lead to a Management Certificate in Civil Aviation.
Who will benefit?
Aviation professionals and managers from Civil Aviation Authorities (CAAs)
Other aviation industry service providers
Managers transitioning into Civil Aviation
Application Acceptance Criteria
A minimum of two (2) years work experience in an aviation related field.
A first level university degree in combination with the successful completion of the Aviation Fundamentals online course may be accepted in lieu of the work experience. A proof of your first level university degree and certificate of the Aviation Fundamentals course will be requested.

If the participant’s application for a visa is rejected and the University is advised before the start date of the online part of the programme, the University will refund the programme fees paid. The University will require proof that the visa application was rejected, or that the visa will not be acquired on time for the travel date scheduled for the face-to-face delivery of the programme. The participant should ensure that he/she has the necessary documentation to enter the country where the training will take place before the start date of the face-to-face part of the programme.
