Researchers are eligible to request file storage space for the purpose of hosting research data in a secure environment.

How much does it cost?

Base level services are offered at no cost. For extra storage, pricing is determined in collaboration with the IT Research Support team where a Service Level Agreement is drafted and costs are agreed upon upfront & reviewed annually. To help with your grant proposals, you may refer to the costing chart below as an estimate. For a more detailed needs assessment, contact us.

FAQ

As a base level service, individual researchers may be allocated up to 100GB and recognized research groups allocated up to 1TB of storage at no cost. Additional storage is possible & allocations are determined in collaboration with the IT Research Support team.

Our file servers are located in a secured room where data is backed up on a nightly basis & copies are automatically stored on both SGW and Loyola campuses.

By default, only you will have rights to what is stored. However, sharing your data internally is certainly possible. For a needs assessment or consultation, contact us.

Yes, when drafting the Service Level Agreement, a "Responsible Person" is designated and they will be the primary point of contact regarding planned maintenance.
