Service Centre Agent

Scope

Reporting to the Service Centre Supervisor, the incumbent provides front-line customer service and performs a variety of technical support tasks of Audio-Visual and computer equipment. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Service Center Audio-Visual support team offering services to the University community forclasses, events, projects, and research.
  • Deliver, set-up, tear-down, and troubleshoot Audio-Visual equipment in classrooms, labs, specialvenues, and in remote locations as required.
  • Perform routine maintenance and installation of equipment and workstations.
  • Utilize monitoring and reporting tools to set-up and schedule daily tasks, as well as report equipmentfailures or other issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Current Concordia University student.
  • Willingness to work flexible predetermined shifts anywhere between 07:00 and 23:00.
  • Passion for technology, customer service oriented, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with a wide variety of Audio-Visual equipment; sound systems, microphones, mediaplayers, data projectors, laptops.
  • Knowledge of computer equipment in both Mac and PC environments
  • Ability to work under pressure to troubleshoot technical problems.
  • Good spoken and written English; Spoken French an asset to provide basic information and respondto queries.

Compensation 

  • $12.50/hr entry increased to $13.00/hr following 4 month probation period.
