Brief description of duties and expertise

The ideal candidate is expected to analyze real world IoT systems, at both the protocol level and the implementation level. Upon mutual acceptance, the candidate will work alongside a major sensor manufacturer to assist in protecting IoT networks against various security issues. Knowledge of cybersecurity and IoT would be an asset. The responsibilities include attending regular research meetings and writing research articles.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Information Systems Security, or equivalent
  • Experience with software development (e.g., C/C++, Python)
  • Knowledgeable in IoT systems and its protocol
  • Strong research capabilities 
  • Preference for a track record of peer-reviewed research

Salary information

$27.03 per hour, 30 hours per week
