I Knew This Place Before is a diaristic short film by Adam Mbowe, presented as a series of vignettes unfolding across a gallery wall. Projected into picture frames like a family photo arrangement, the film tells the story of the rapid transformation of the Gambia. Using photos, videos and paper animation, each frame becomes a window into memory, myth, and loss, blurring the line between personal archive and national change.
