Message from the Chair

Welcome to the Fictions of Translation conference! I am delighted that the third edition of “Transfiction” is being held here at Concordia University, in cooperation with partner universities and organizations.

Concordia, a dynamic and diverse university located in the heart of Montreal, is proud to host this bilingual conference showcasing the work of emerging and seasoned scholars from twenty countries from around the world. We look forward to what promises to be an exciting exchange of ideas on the image of the translator in fiction, and on the role and status of translation within our increasingly pluralistic societies.
