Self-guided modules

Our self-guided modules explore topics such as accessibility, diversity, equity, sex and gender. Take part in short videos, reflective exercises, and discover relevant resources to deepen your understanding of these topics. Each module takes approximately 20–30 minutes to complete and can be explored at your own pace. All modules are available for students, faculty and staff.

Please note that these self-guided modules are for Concordia members only. You will be prompted to log in using your Concordia Netname and password to verify your eligibility. Your information will not be recorded, and participation is anonymous.

Beyond the Label logo

Beyond the label: An introduction to 2SLGBTQIA+ identities

Creating a campus where everyone can fully participate begins with good intentions, but real transformation takes understanding the identities, language, and realities that shape how people move through shared spaces. This self-guided workshop invites university students, faculty, and staff to move beyond the label and explore the many identities gathered under the 2SLGBTQIA+ umbrella, as lived experiences that show up in classrooms, intake forms, washrooms, and social life.

Access+: Reimagining accessibility

What if you or your peers could show up to campus without having to worry about access, explain your needs, or wonder if those needs will be taken seriously? What would it take to create a campus where everybody can fully participate? Not only in theory, but in practice? This self-guided module invites you to explore how accessibility shapes our shared environments, relationships, and learning experiences. We’ll unpack how ableism shows up in subtle and systemic ways; from classroom policies to social spaces, and how it impacts our community across disciplines and identities.
