FB Building: Domestic water supply interruption due to City of Montreal maintenance work (24-032) - August 02 – 03, 2026

To the users and occupants of the FB building,

A planned interruption of the drinking water supply (high-pressure and low-pressure aqueduct networks) is scheduled over two consecutive nights:

• Sunday, August 2 – Monday, August 3, 2026, between the hours of 23:00 and 07:00 — high-pressure network only.
• Monday, August 3 – Tuesday, August 4, 2026, between the hours of 23:00 and 07:00 — high-pressure and low-pressure networks.

The City of Montreal underground work to connect to a new water main on Sainte-Catherine West, between Guy and Saint-Mathieu streets, requires the interruption and restoration of the water aqueduct serving the affected building. 

Please note: The scheduled intervention may be delayed due to weather conditions or other unforeseen constraints.

General Information

• The building will be closed for the duration of the interruption.
• Agents will be present in building.
• Parking of FB will be closed from 23:00 to 07:00; however, people may enter at any time to retrieve their vehicle.
• Signage will be installed to clearly indicate these conditions in buildings and in the parking.
   

Night of August 2–3 (high pressure only):

• The fire protection (sprinkler) network will be interrupted.
• Domestic water service is maintained. Washrooms, sinks & kitchenettes remain in service.

Night of August 3–4 (high and low pressure):

• The fire protection (sprinkler) network will be interrupted.
• Domestic water service will be interrupted. Washrooms, sinks & kitchenettes will be out of service.
• Washrooms will not be accessible for the duration of the interruption. Signage will be installed accordingly.
• Allow the water to run if dirty water is observed following the work.
