EV/MB/FB/H Buildings: Escalators interruption - May 05, 2026 to August 21, 2026 (08:00 - 17:00)

To the users and occupants of the EV/MB/FB/H buildings,

A planned interruption of the SGW Escalators is SCHEDULED to begin Tuesday, 2026-05-05 and will last approximately until Friday, 2026-08-21, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00. Yearly category 1 escalator inspections and maintenance are required by code for all escalators to ensure they are maintained and working at their optimal performance.

• S- MB / John Molson School of Business
• S- FB / Faubourg Tower
• S- H / Henry F. Hall Building

General Information

• Approx. Schedule (may be subject to change without notification)
•  S-EV ESCA1 & 2 – 2026-05-05 to 2026-05-11.
•  S-MB ESCA1 & 2 – 2026-05-11 to 2026-05-19.
• S-FB ESCA1 & 2 – 2026-05-9 to 2026-05-26.
•  S-H ESCA0 – 17 – 2026-05-26 to 2026-08-25 (not completed in numerical order).
• Individual escalators will be out of service for approx. 1-3 days while the inspection is executed.
• S-MB, S-EV, S-FB: Locations where there are only 2 escalators present, 1 unit will always be going in the up direction.
• S-H: Please use the stairs or elevator for access between the affected floors while the inspections & maintenance take place.
