Effrosyni (Faye) Diamantoudi, Concordia’s dean of graduate studies, has been elected to the board of directors of the Canadian Association of Graduate Studies (CAGS).

The association provides leadership and fosters community and collaboration among Canadian universities that deliver graduate education.

In her new role, Diamantoudi will advocate for and represent Canadian graduate education locally, nationally and internationally.

“With the educational landscape rapidly changing, Canada’s Schools of Graduate Studies have a pivotal role in ensuring our programs remain at the forefront of global educational excellence and innovation,” says Diamantoudi.

“As a member of the CAGS board of directors, I hope to support a shift toward interdisciplinarity and inclusivity in graduate programs.”
