Frederic Bohbot's documentary short The Lady in Number 6, which he executive produced for Montreal-based Bunbury Films, garnered an Academy Award in March 2014.

Watch the video:

Bohbot, a graduate of Concordia's Department of Communication Studies, was centre stage as keynote speaker at Concordia's Donor and Student Award Celebration at the Hilton Montreal Bonaventure Hotel. The event was organized by Advancement and Alumni Relations with the Financial Aid and Awards Office.

In this video produced by student reporter Emily Campbell, the filmmaker relates the crucial role Concordia played on his path to Oscar glory. Fellow grads Kieran Crilly and Carl Freed were also part of the film's making, as cinematographer and editor, respectively.
