Starting on March 10 at 5 p.m. until March 15, students from 24 universities across Canada will be giving up life’s daily comforts to raise awareness and solicit donations for homeless youth for 5 Days for the Homeless.

In Montreal, Concordia students will gather on the street with peers from sister universities to raise funds for Dans la rue, a non-profit organization that helps get kids off the street and back on their feet. Since its inception, Concordia and sister universities have raised some $175,000 for 5 Days for the Homeless.

This video, featuring an advance look at the fundraiser, was produced by David Adelman, a graduate of Concordia’s Department of Journalism.
