Concordia faculty and researchers are regularly asked to offer expert, informed opinions on many of today's most pressing problems. Read some of the latest news items about Concordians:
- Robert David, part-time faculty in the School of Community and Public Affairs, writes an op-ed in the Montreal Gazette about Justin Trudeau's growth as a political leader.
- Bruce Hicks, a lecturer in the Department of Political Science, appears on various morning newscasts on CJAD to speculate on Trudeau cabinet appointments. Following the swearing-in of the new cabinet, Hicks also took part in a panel on CJAD’s Tommy Schnurmacher Show.
- The Guelph Mercury reprises a piece by Kathleen O'Grady, a research associate at the Simone de Beauvoir Institute and managing editor at EvidenceNetwork.ca, about the "Panel of International Journalists", which puts health journalists in touch with academics in the health care field.
- Nancy Acemian, a senior lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, is quoted in a piece in Maclean's about the growing use of "lecture capture technology" to videotape university course lectures. Acemian tells Maclean's that she began videotaping her own lectures about seven years ago.
