- A CNW release announces the appointment of Hemdat Sawh (BSc, geology) as Chief Financial Officer of Wesdome Gold Mines. The release is picked up by CNN Money, Junior Mining Network, Wawa-News, Virtual Press Office, Sys-Con Media and Stockwatch.
- Blogger Bonnie K. Goodman (MA, Judaic studies, 07) writes in The Times of Israel about a stir around a recent Mtl Blog post sponsored by the Montreal Jewish community organization Federation CJA. Goodman says the post in question appeared to emphasize upper middle class and rich Montreal Jewish stereotypes.
- Montréal Centre-Ville reports that alumnus and former Concordia Chancellor Jacques Ménard, chairman of BMO Nesbitt Burns and president of Bank of Montreal's Quebec operations, is receiving the 'Prix Hommage Montréal Centre-Ville 2015' for having initiated Je Vois Montreal, I See Montreal — a project aimed at generating ideas to breathe new life into the city.
