- A news report on CTV Montreal and a CNW/Telbec release, picked up by Le Lézard, mention that Concordia is planning a new event to honour the memory of author Mordecai Richler, who studied at Sir George Williams University and later served as its writer in residence. Richler was commemorated at a ceremony at Montreal City Hall yesterday where mayor Denis Coderre officially announced that the Mile-End Library on Parc Avenue will be renamed for Richler. Coderre also named Richler "a citizen of honour". An article on the commemoration in the Toronto Star mentions the Mordecai Richler Reading Room, on the sixth floor of the J. W. McConnell Building and quotes Jason Camlot, an associate professor of English at Concordia University, about Richler's literary legacy in Quebec. Richler was a student at Sir George Williams University and later served as its writer in residence.
- EnBeauce.com writes about the retirement of Lisa-Marie Breton-Lebreux from the Canadian Women's Hockey League's (CWHL) Montreal Stars, and mentions that Breton-Lebreux is a strength and conditioning coach at Concordia.
