- With the help of eight experts, La Presse selected 10 Quebec visual artists who are making waves in the contemporary art scene. There are three Concordia alumni among those selected including, Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, Nicolas Baier and Madia Myre. In addition, Michel de Broin, a Concordia attendee, and Raphaëlle de Groot, a former Concordia employee were also named.
- The University of Lethbridge will be hosting the concert, In Extensio, with Andrew Stewart who completed his post-doctoral studies in music at Concordia.
- 5N Plus Inc., a producer of specialty metal and chemical products, announced the appointment of Richard Perron, who holds a bachelor in commerce, as its Chief Financial Officer: Digital Journal.
