Call for Submissions - Concordia Undergraduate Journal of Art History, Volume IX

December 1, 2012
|

The Concordia Undergraduate Journal of Art History is a student-run annual publication that aims to showcase the talents of Concordia University's undergraduate Art History and Fine Arts students. The CUJAH is composed of an executive committee of editors, copy editors, feature writers, and is assisted by faculty members in the Department of Art History. As a journal, we strive for academic excellence. Since 2004-2005, CUJAH has committed to featuring the best academic writing from students in the Faculty of Fine Arts. Volume IX is slated to be the biggest edition yet.

Objectives of the Journal

  • To enable Concordia Fine Arts students to publish their research essays and written work.
  • To allow undergraduate students the opportunity to establish a history of publications to aid in students' future applications for graduate admissions, scholarships and awards.
  • To formally participate in art historical discourse, and put the Art History program at Concordia on the map in terms of academic excellence.
  • To allow Concordia students to acquire valuable experience in publishing, writing, editing and design.

The call for submissions of academic essays to be included in Volume IX is currently open. Work may be submitted from any student so long as it has been written for a course offered by Concordia's Art History department and received a grade of A or A+. There is no minimum or maximum length for submissions, and both French and English essays will be considered. The deadline for submissions is December 22, 2012. The selection process will take place in early January. Essays can be submitted through the submission form online. Please be sure to read the submissions guidelines first.
