Tenure-Track Job Opportunity

Department of Political Science – Politics of Health and Social Services

The Department of Political Science at Concordia University in Montréal, Québec, seeks applications for a tenure-track appointment in the area of the politics of Health/Social Services. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or be near completion of a doctoral degree in political science or related discipline with a specialization in health and/or social services. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to our course offerings in Canadian politics and be able to teach core graduate courses in our Master’s in Public Policy and Public Administration and Ph.D. in Political Science. While the area of specialization in health and social services is open, research synergy with Concordia’s growing strengths in aging and/or health prevention with the PERFORM Centre would be an asset.

Applications must consist of a cover letter, a current curriculum vitae, copies of recent publications, a statement of teaching philosophy/interests, a statement of research achievements/interests, and evidence of teaching effectiveness.  Candidates must also arrange to have three letters of reference sent directly to the department contact.
