Department of Philosophy Welcomes Postdoctoral Fellow Tano Posteraro

Tano Posteraro

The Department of Philosophy is pleased to welcome Tano Posteraro as a SSHRC Postdoctoral Research Fellow, working under the supervision of Dr. Morris from August 2021-2023. The research project he is working on is entitled "Sympathy and Symbiosis: Henri Bergson’s Creative Evolution and the New Philosophy of Biological Individuality."

Tano Posteraro received his Ph.D. from Penn State in 2019. His first book, Bergson’s Philosophy of Biology, is forthcoming through Edinburgh UP . He is co-editor, with Michael Bennett, of Deleuze and Evolutionary Theory and author of a number of articles and chapters on biological themes in 20th century continental philosophy.
