Congratulations to Principal Investigators: Vivek Venkatesh, Robert McGray, Tieja Thomas, & Jihan Rabah who were awarded a $172,340 grant from Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Canada under their Kanishka program.

Their project entitled "Development of Curricula to Combat and Prevent Hate Speech Leading to Violence and Violent Extremism: Using Social Media to Build Resilience in Canadian Youth" has a host of co-investigators which include faculty members from all four faculties at Concordia, as well as faculty at Bishop's, Champlain College, UofA and Franklin & Marshall College in the States. This composition renders their project truly interdisciplinary.

Also noteworthy, two of the co-PI's (Tieja & Jihan) are SSHRC doctoral fellowship holders that Vivek is supervising.
