This training is offered by GradProSkills. It is only open to graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.

Advance registration is required.

Through inspiring examples of researchers-turned-entrepreneurs, interactive discussions, and a hands-on tool, participants will be invited to reflect on how their research could lead to real-world change. The session draws parallels between the scientific and entrepreneurial mindsets, helping demystify entrepreneurship and making it more accessible to academic researchers.

Whether you’re simply curious or already considering an entrepreneurial path, this workshop provides a supportive space to start identifying how your work can create value in society and the next steps to move from research to impact.

Note: This workshop is open to graduate students and researchers from all disciplines, including STEM and social sciences.

Register by Sunday, October 12.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Demystify the concept of scientific entrepreneurship;
  • Explore the similarities and differences between academic research and entrepreneurship;
  • Use a practical tool to identify your research’s potential impact in society;
  • Gain insights into the next steps toward entrepreneurship when starting from zero.
