INNOVATION & ENTREPRENEURSHIP MODULE

Congratulations, you landed your first user experience (UX) contract! It is now time to execute and show your clients value for their money. Conducting impactful usability tests is all about listening, focusing on business goals and creating a collaborative process for your client that can take action.

So, where do you start? In this workshop, I will walk you through the most important steps to conduct usability tests that produce results, mainly:

  • Understanding the business goals and writing a plan accordingly
  • Understanding if a usability test is a right fit
  • Deciding on the number of participants to test with and why
  • Effectively recruiting participants
  • Conducting the tests and delegating work
  • Involving the client to take ownership and action on the findings

Let’s learn together, so you become unstoppable at providing value for your clients

Facilitator(s): Anne-Marie Mulumba is a designer, researcher and host of UX Sauna Sessions, a cozy user experience community in Montreal. She is building inclusive and accessible public services with the Canadian Digital Service (CDS), writing for the Black Professionals in Technology Network and completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design at Concordia University.
