Community Healing Days is a project dedicated to reimagining healthcare in Quebec.

As we hit a crisis point in public health, we are demonstrating a model of alternative care to support the existing system. For years we have run a general sliding scale clinic that offers traditional and holistic therapies, centring different types of bodywork at accessible rates.

After collecting research from participants regarding their unmet healthcare needs and why they accessed our clinic, we have developed three specialized clinics.

This new facet of our project offers more in-depth care for three vulnerable populations that were underserved by the mainstream system.

  • Trans Health Clinic
  • Menstrual and Reproductive Health Clinic
  • Perinatal Clinic

We will be sharing our model, inviting conversation and collaborations, and celebrating this pilot project and turning research into tangible action and care.

Come and join us for food and drink and learn about our three specialized clinics. This event is for health care professionals, allied community organizations, potential clients, researchers, local bodyworkers and therapists, and you!

Community Healing Days (CHD) received funding from SHIFT through the Deep Investment Fund

In collaboration with various partner across Montreal and working with SHIFT, CHD is:

  • Deepening connections with CLSC staff and initiating conversations to bring the CHD model into CLSCs to test integration.
  • Using the SHIFT space to host community consultations practitioner trainings and meetings, and workshops regarding CHD’s findings and project learning
  • Connecting with other community-based health projects and researchers to expand their network.
  • Building engagement with key individuals from Concordia with expertise (ex: Concordia School of Health, Department of Applied Human Sciences).
