Hillel Concordia and Hillel McGill have invited Concordia students of any faith or no faith to join them for their annual Interfaith Shabbat.
We'll participate in their Shabbat service, a condensed version of the two prayer services Jewish people partake in on Shabbat: Kabbalat Shabbat, the welcoming of the Sabbath, and Maariv, the evening prayers.
After, we'll join them for dinner (please email us at mfsc@concordia.ca with any dietary restrictions, including if you are vegetarian), and a short talk on the Torah portion of that week, called a ‘Dvar Torah,' given by a student.
Participate in this Sacred Site visit and at least two others this academic year and complete a reflection to build your capacity for religious literacy and ear recognition on your Co-Curricular Record. More details will be sent to participants via email.
All Concordia students are welcome. Please email mfsc@concordia.ca with any accessibility needs or questions or if you have any dietary restrictions.
