Join Salma for this restorative yoga class, where we will be connecting breath to movement, while calming the mind. These classes focus on soothing YIN yoga flows where we dive deep into releasing tension, flexibility and meditative breathing.

Facilitator:

Salma Negm: I discovered yoga while I was an undergraduate student at Concordia. One summer when I went to visit my family in Egypt I was going through a very dark time in my life where I didn’t know who I was and what mattered to me. One day I came across a reflective meditation video that had given me a glimpse of living mindfully. After having experienced a meditative state, I delved into Yoga (Asana) and it naturally became my daily medicine. It has been 6 years since I started my yoga journey. For me, yoga is a way of life.

My interest in teaching yoga came about so organically while I was travelling with a group of wonderful people in Costa Rica. They encouraged me to guide group meditations and yoga classes throughout our trip. Realizing how much joy that had brought me, I quit my corporate job and pursued yoga school in Mexico. I continued to travel, teaching yoga at hostels around Latin America. For me, yoga is a way of life.
