Abortion access and sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) currently face multiple barriers in online ecosystems. Women on Web, an abortion non-profit, is plagued with increasing digital suppression and censorship online.

Concordia's Applied AI Institute and the Digital Intimacy, Gender, and Sexuality (DIGS) Lab have mapped how major information intermediaries — search engines, social media platforms and hosting services — restrict access to WoW’s website and services.

We invite you to a first-hand look at the results, and what they indicate for Women on Web and online abortion access. We will be joined by members of the organization to help us unpack the findings, followed by a panel discussion of the implications they have about platform moderation and censorship of global reproductive health.

How can you participate? Join us in person or online by registering for the Zoom Meeting, or watch live on YouTube.
