The Concordia University Teach with Generative AI (GenAI) Faculty Interest Group is a monthly gathering dedicated to exploring the potential applications, benefits, and challenges of integrating GenAI technologies into teaching practices. This group serves as a collaborative platform for faculty to share experiences, discuss innovative ideas, and engage in research related to the use of GenAI in various educational contexts. All interested faculty members are welcome to attend and contribute to the ongoing dialogue on this rapidly evolving field.

Learning outcomes:

By participating in this faculty interest group, members will be able to:

  • Share and reflect on experiences, successes, and challenges related to implementing GenAI tools in their classrooms 
  • Explore novel teaching strategies and methodologies that leverage the capabilities of GenAI to enhance student learning outcomes
  • Examine diverse perspectives that foster a rich exchange of ideas and promote the development of interdisciplinary GenAI-based teaching approaches
  • Discuss the ethical implications of using GenAI, including data privacy, consent, bias, and the potential impact on student and faculty well-being
