Times of transition and change which we may experience individually or collectively are often challenging
In this interactive workshop, participants will explore self-compassion as an inner resource for navigating transition and associated difficulties with self-kindness and non-judgmental acceptance. We will also share practical skills for fostering self-compassion and emotional safety within ourselves and in our communities and identify campus and community support resources.
Identify some of the challenges that students may experience with transition and change
Gain an understanding of self-compassion and its components (mindfulness, common humanity and self-kindness)
Discover self-compassion practices to better cope with transition and other stressors
