2026 Fantasia Film Festival

The Fantasia Film Festival returns to Concordia University for its 30th edition, running from July 16 to August 2, 2026.

As North America’s largest genre film festival, Fantasia transforms the Hall Building and surrounding campus venues into a hub for bold and imaginative cinema—from horror and sci-fi to anime, kung fu, fantasy, and experimental film. Thousands of filmmakers and fans gather each summer to celebrate genre storytelling in all its forms.

This milestone edition continues Fantasia’s long-standing partnership with Concordia’s Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema, including student involvement, industry events, and special programming highlighting emerging filmmakers.
