Record-breaking banana cake at Concordia!

Think big. Big cake, that is.

On February 18, Concordia’s Food Services team and the Hive will attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest chocolate chip banana cake, which will aim to reach 70 square feet and 3,000 delicious slices.  

Where & when? 

All events will take place inthe lobby of the EV building. 

  • Cake build will start at 9 a.m.
  • Cake cutting will take place at 1 p.m.
  • Free cake from 1:15 to 3:45 p.m.

Fairtrade and leftovers

Made with fair trade bananas, chocolate, and sugar, this record-breaking event will be serving up 3,000 free slices. 

  • Want extra for later? Bring a reusable container and take some home!
  • Leftovers go to The Hive Café’s free lunch program, and friends from Camino and Fairtrade Canada will be on site to talk chocolate and sustainability.

Come watch a record attempt and grab a slice (or three).
