Record-breaking banana cake at Concordia!

Think big. Big cake, that is.

On February 18, Concordia’s Food Services team and the Hive will attempt to set a world record for the world’s largest chocolate chip banana cake, which will aim to reach 70 square feet and 3,000 delicious slices. Free coffee to go along with your cake. 

And what’s cake without coffee? Enjoy a free cup of Stingers Roast coffee, served in collaboration with FARO.

Where & when? 

All events will take place inthe lobby of the EV building. 

  • Cake build will start at 9 a.m.
  • Cake cutting will take place at 1 p.m.
  • Free cake from 1:15 to 3:45 p.m.

Fairtrade and leftovers

Made with fair trade bananas, chocolate, and sugar, this record-breaking event will be serving up 3,000 free slices. 

  • Want extra for later? Bring a reusable container and take some home!
  • Leftovers go to The Hive Café’s free lunch program, and friends from Camino and Fairtrade Canada will be on site to talk chocolate and sustainability.

Come watch a record attempt and grab a slice (or three).
