Do you want to carve pumpkins for Halloween? Do you want to help us compost the leftover food waste? We have the workshop just for you! ABCompost is hosting two sustainable pumpkin carving workshops at the Concordia Greenhouse Project (7th floor of Hall building) on the two following days:
This workshop is part of Concordia University's Campus Sustainability Month. This is a drop-in workshop where participants can choose which date and time they will drop in to carve their pumpkin. After your pumpkin is carved, we will be feeding the pumpkin waste to our vermicomposters.
Pumpkins and carving tools will be provided during both days. This is a pay-what-you-can event to help cover the costs of tools and pumpkins. Our recommended donation is $5 per person, but participants can donate whatever they can afford. All proceeds go directly to the Concordia Greenhouse Project.
Please note that space is limited for both workshops. Registration is required to attend. Registration will close on October 17th so that the Concordia Greenhouse Project can purchase pumpkins based on the number of participants who sign up.
