Vermicomposting 101

As part of Campus Sustainability Month, our goal is to continue to teach the Concordia community about the process of vermicomposting as well as the benefits that it can serve our planet and other people! This workshop will begin with a brief explanation of ABCompost's initiative.

We will then briefly explain the process of vermicomposting and the environmental benefits it serves. The majority of the workshop will then be dedicated towards assembling the vermicomposters and providing tips on how to maintain them properly. We will then conclude the workshop by exploring the environmental drawbacks of vermicomposting.

This workshop is free to attend.

We are also offering vermicomposting kits for attendees to bring home. Each kit is $25 to cover the cost of materials. For these kits, we are accepting payments on the day of the workshop (cash only).
