Planting day at the container gardens

The back garden of the Grey Nuns Residence on Concordia‚Äôs Sir George Williams Campus has reopened to the university community, providing a downtown urban oasis to students, faculty and staff.

Come join us downtown caring for the planters at the back of the garden located close to rue St Mathieu. Our volunteer sessions are open to everyone, from those with gardening experience to beginners!

Volunteers will have the opportunity to get their hands dirty in the gardens, and will work on a variety of garden tasks including planting, seeding, weeding, harvesting, organic pest and fertility maintenance and general garden upkeep.

To access the gardens, enter the through the parking lot at 1200 rue Guy, use your student ID or white staff access pass to scan into the garden, walk towards St Mathieu.

PLEASE NOTE: In case of bad weather the volunteer session will automatically be canceled.

This event is part of Campus Sustainability Month at Concordia, a month-long series of sustainability events and activities.
