This event is a chance to discover student-led startups developed right here at the Gina Cody School and to see how ideas move from concept to early-stage venture.

Over the past few months, six student teams have been working on innovative products and services with support from the Innovation Fund. They will be presenting what they have built and what they have learned along the way.

A fake news detection tool that combines artificial intelligence with uncertainty analysis to help assess the reliability of online content.

Temperise
The world’s first portable thermal battery that provides boiling capability without CO₂ emissions, designed for use anywhere.

Ready Plan Go
An AI-based tax processing platform that automates T1 filings and reduces repetitive manual work.

StrikePilot
An AI-powered security assistant that integrates into tools like Slack, Teams and GitHub to help developers understand and address security issues.

Re:Con
A new manufacturing process that improves the quality and speed of thermoplastic composite production.

Gonivision
A web and mobile application that measures shoulder range of motion using computer vision, developed with clinical input from an orthopedic surgeon.

About the fund

The Gina Cody School Innovation Fund aims to support student-led projects with potential for commercialization. These six teams received seed funding and will be presenting their progress achieved during Phase 1.
