In this workshop, career journalist and Concordia professor Kristy Snell will guide students and faculty members through best practices for communicating with the media. She will cover: what to expect in an interview, live vs. taped settings, how to focus and clarify key points to get your message across, how to respond when you’re uncertain, troubleshooting, among other topics.
Kristy Snell is an Associate Professor in the Department of Journalism at Concordia University. She has worked in the industry for 30 years as a reporter/anchor for television and radio, and most recently spent 14 years anchoring CBC morning radio newscasts in Montreal and Quebec. She is a member of Standing Buffalo Dakota Nation.
This workshop is being hosted by the School of Community and Public Affairs (SCPA). It is free and open to Concordia students and faculty members.
