Did you know that in 2018, the price for Arabica coffee plummeted below $1 USD per pound? Two years later, coffee farmers are still facing the effects of this price crash.

For the final day of Fair Trade Campus Week, join us for this 60-minute webinar where we will discuss the intricacies of coffee pricing and how Fairtrade works with coffee farmers to rebuild a more sustainable industry, where they can thrive.

On this panel, you will hear from Alison Streaker, Fairtrade International’s coffee coordinator, a representative from the Latin American and Caribbean Network of Fair Trade Small Producers and Workers (CLAC), as well as two Canadian Fairtrade businesses.

You will leave this session with a better understanding of the global coffee market, the current challenges that producers are facing and, we hope, a new found respect for coffee and the farmers who grow this crop.
