The Concordia Graduate and Professional Skills program invites current graduate students to register for the 2016 Concordia Three Minute Thesis (3MT) and Project Competition to be held March 16, 2016.
The Three Minute Thesis and Project competition challenges graduate students to present their research or academic project in easy to understand terms to a diverse non-specialist audience. Participants are to present a clear, concise and engaging presentation of their work in a total of 3 minutes, with no props and only one non-animated Powerpoint slide. Students who register for the competition receive personal coaching from the GradProSkills team and communication experts.
Both masters and doctoral students in thesis and non-thesis programs can compete in this competition. There will be different pools for students who are presenting thesis work and project work. Prizes of $750 will be awarded to the winning presentation in each category, as well as a runner-up and a people's choice.
Interested students should sign up for and attend a Three Minute Thesis and Project Competition Information Session (GPSC405) in January 2016. Find out more about the process.
