The Concordia Institute for Canadian Jewish Studies serves as the bridge between academic study and the lived experiences of Canadian Jewry.
About us
Our researchers are dedicated to the study of the Canadian Jewish experience through research and education. We support learning in the Jewish community through community partnerships, and we host public lectures, seminars, student colloquia, artistic installations and musical performances to highlight the the diversity of the disciplinary landscape.

Courses
Our courses reflect the long history of the Jewish experience in Canada. They are offered through the Department of Religions and Cultures at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Our research
Our expertise in diverse areas, including history, literature and ethnomusicology, broaden the scope of the data fields while preserving the unique stories of Canadian Jewish life and legacy.
We mentor the next-generation of scholars in Canadian Jewish Studies, and offer scholarships, fellowships as well as experiential learning opportunities.
