Israel at 70
On May 14, 1948, Israel declared its independence. In 2018, Israel celebrated it's 70th year of independence on the eve of April 18, 2018.
The Azrieli Institute of Israel Studies held a joint conference with Ben-Gurion University on July 3-5, 2018.
The program brought together scholars from Canada and Israel. The event was held at the Samuel Bronfman Building (1590 Docteur Penfield), Sir George Williams Campus.
The public keynote address titled Reclaiming the 'Z' word: From the Zionist idea to the Zionist ideas in the Jewish world, the scholarly world, Canada, and beyond was given by Dr. Gil Troy.
